You may have concerns whether you are a freshly expectant mother or just a recent 3D & 4D ultrasound. We also gathered a list of popular questions and replied to several recent thoughts and concerns from our former customers. Please feel to reach out if you cannot find the answer to what you are looking for below.
What is an elective prenatal ultrasound? An
elective prenatal optional 3D/4D ultrasound will give a clearer view than typical 2D pictures in black and white. 3D/4D is an environment which will provide mother, father and family members with a meaningful bonding experience. Be able to look at a true representation of the movements of your infant, bite your thumb, slap your mouth, wiggle your hands and your fingers gives better relation to your baby. In this examination at our laboratory we make no argument that 3D/4D ultrasound equipment is used to examine babies for anomalies. A routine ultrasound procedure may already have been conducted in a surgical centre to determine the gestative age of the foetus.
Does this replace the utlrasound at my Dr.'s office?Significant NOT!! This is an ultrasound that is purely elective and non-medical. You already require prenatal services from a professional health provider including medical tests and an ultrasound diagnosis as instructed by your doctor. You have to bring proof that a Dr has seen at your office appointment. The optional ultrasound is a simple scan which can validate cardiovascular beat, location, number of babies and sex. Screen the baby for medical ultrasounds for any developmental, chromosomal or physical abnormality. You do not confuse this ultrasound with or substitute ANY ultrasound ordered by your doctor.
Do I need an appointment?Yeah, IT! Both our meetings are only by invitation. Please respond to our details on when your ultrasound would be the right moment. Please try to plan all meetings in advance for 2 weeks. We especially urge you to plan your weekend, holiday and evening appointments beforehand. But there could be an appointment the same day to make no delay in calling!
Is an elective 3D/4D ultrasound safe?Extensive tests over 35 years have demonstrated that the effects of ultrasound on mother and infant are not negative. Routine scans on all births in the United States are now common. 3D/4D ultrasound is used in diagnostics of the same intensity and frequency as traditional 2D ultrasound. Ultrasound uses radiation-free high-frequency sound waves.
How long will my appointment be?Depending on the form of services you need, appointment times range from around 15 minutes to one hour. We want to make sure that we have the best pictures of the baby and that we don't feel fast. We mandate that all our clients be cared for by a maternity specialist and have been given their due date by a Dr. or parent partner. Please have evidence of this treatment when you come for your appointment. A Dr.'s appointee, a preceding ultrasound scan or written permission from the Dr. or Midwife should be issued with an appointment card or paperwork.
Can I bring my friends and family?Yes! Yes! Yes! Indeed, we welcome our consumers to the ultrasound session with families and amies. This is a happy and beautiful moment for all. If you have more than 10 people, please let us know when booking. You are welcome to bring them, but note that most kids under the age of 3 do not have a proper time to remain calm and quiet in one room. Please make sure you have another responsible adult in your team, who can leave the theatre room with the children if needed, if you are going to bring other children. We want to enjoy the new mum and dad every minute.
Will I always get a beautiful picture of my baby like I see on the website?WATER, WATER, WATER. It is vital that during pregnancy you still remain hydrated, so to get the perfect image of 3D/4D is important to be hydrated. We urge our patients to drink extra water for the three days before the ultrasound. Secondly, be patient when your baby is busy all day and make an appointment at the time of the day. Second, make sure you feed or drink the energy of your infant, and try to eat or not until your ultrasound. When mother drinks something cold and/or fruity, often babies perch up. In such a situation, it's advisable for mom to drink a glass of juice or a delicious fruit.
What if you are unable to determine the gender of my baby?Early as 13 weeks we can get an idea of the sex of a foetus. We may indicate the sex of the baby in MOST situations. However, during the session, we cannot promise that the kid will comply. Any factors including location, placental positioning, stage of development, quality of mother's body tissue may all influence sex determination. If we are unable to ascertain your baby's sex due to the conditions, we will take a second look on a return visit. We have a 100% Gender Determination Pledge. It needs to be reserved in one month. It is safest for our complete moms to wait for a 3D/4D scan for 26 to 34 weeks, and around 17 weeks of gestation.
